Sobolik is a DJ/producer from upstate New York, working out a bed-bound take on modern percussive club music.

Following their appearance on Flex002 compilation with the track ‘Camille’, Sobolik debuts on Early Reflex with Call, their first EP, containing four melodic and D’n’B inspired cuts, marking a newfound intention from the American producer to put their music out into the world.

The cinematic effects from the overture of ‘Theater Mode’ invites the listener into Sobolik's enchanted space. The track then suddenly turns into a total belter with the entrance of its D’n’B inspired rhythmic session, characterised by a syncopated kick drum and a dub-step influenced bass.

Title track ‘Call’ follows next with its mischievous beat, prolonging the listener’s journey into Sobolik’s world where vocal’s triplets and a savvy use of delay generate a sound-induced psychedelic sensation.

The second half of the EP kicks off with ‘Luna’ which brings the mood into fast-paced and dance-floor oriented territories. Here a bouncy kick drum and futuristic bass sounds build up the tension until the entrance of a melancholy chord progression which sets the climax of the track.

The EP reaches to its closure with ‘Foil’, a slow-paced techno track characterised by an incessant rhythmic session, a swinging bass and baritonal choirs with a tantric feel.

Call is available on all platforms starting from Friday July 16th.
