Following their outstanding appearance on Kindergarten Records VA Fluo III, Brooklyn-based DJ and producer Martini debuts on Early Reflex with their first EP titled ‘Last Laugh’.

Touching sonic landscapes adjacent to Leftfield Techno, Dubstep and Electro, Martini explores in their 4-tracker the power to impact on both body and mind through their immersive sound achieved by a precise manipulation of timbre and rhythm from the American producer.

Title track ‘Last Laugh’ opens the journey into Martini’s world with syncopated beats and its punch kick surrounded by warped effects and a texture of arpeggiated synthesisers.
Mood and BPMs shift into electro-mode in’If I Don’t Laugh I’ll Cry’ a heavy distorted synth signals to the listeners that an explosive beat is about to drop.
The dance keeps going on and on with ‘Chaste’ which follows next, a wormhole of incessant kick-drums, pitch-shifting effects and punchy-basses.
The atmospherical state of‘Serendipity’ close the sonic journey into Martini’s world, where mind-twisting pads and undistinguishable vocals pre-announce the landing on an extraterrestrial dub-heavy “sonosphere”.

Martini said:
“This EP represents my deep interest in expressing convoluted emotions and narratives through the precise manipulation of timbre and rhythm. I’m fascinated by the power sound has over your mind and body despite the level of abstraction it can exhibit, which I try to exploit by carefully crafting each sound.”
